At the Ramp Church Toronto, we welcome everyone. While fostering an inclusive environment, we uphold certain core beliefs. Learn more about what we believe below.
We believe the Bible is a supernatural book inspired by the Holy Spirit of God and arranged by select persons. The Bible is the complete, infallible word of God. It possesses absolute authority and accurately reveals the purpose and destiny of humanity.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12-13
We believe God is an infinite, unchangeable Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. From all eternity, He is one God revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Psalm 62:11; Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 28:19; John 14:7-11; John 16:12-15; Colossians 2:9; Jude 1:25
We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. As the Son of God, He is the visible self-expression of the invisible God and is the only way to God. For those who believe in his name, He is the mediator of eternal life.
Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:23; John 14:6; 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 John 2:1-2
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God Himself living within the believer. The Holy Spirit comes for the purposes of equipping and empowering the believer on their journey to becoming the perfect representation of Jesus Christ.
Genesis 2:7; Acts 5:4; Romans 8:12-14; Philippians 2:13
We believe the Church is comprised of those who have been redeemed and have made a confession of faith in Jesus Christ. It is the totality of all believers of Jesus Christ, regardless of reformatory affiliation and provides an aggregate expression to the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 16:18; Acts 2; Ephesians 1:22-23; Ephesians 2:19-22; Colossians 1:17-20; Colossians 3:14-16; 1 Peter 2:9-10
We believe salvation is the sole work of divine grace given to us by God. It is received by repentance and the confession of faith in the life, death, burial and resurrection of The Lord Jesus Christ. It is the ultimate redemptive plan of God for humankind to attain freedom from our sinful nature and to experience the fullness in this life and in the life to come.
John 10:10; Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12; Romans 5:11; Romans 10:9-10
We believe Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: Water Baptism by immersion in His name and Holy Communion; both of which are available to and observed by believers.
Matthew 28:18-19; Luke 22:18-19; Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
We believe that the baptism with the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues is a precious gift from God to edify the soul and empower the life of the believer. It is a free gift that is given to those who ask for it.
Luke 11:13; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; 1 Corinthians 14:4-5; Jude 20
We believe that marriage is the union ordained by God between one man and one woman, as written in Holy Scripture. Marriage is the foundation on which all of society is built. As such it is an honourable estate that is not to be severed, altered or redefined. Marriage serves as the visible symbol of the union that exists between Jesus Christ and His Church.
Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:22-33
We believe in the triumphant and visible second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and the carrying away of His Church. At which time the judgment of all humanity will take place, with the righteous being ushered into eternal life and the unrighteous into eternal separation from God.
John 14:3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17; 1 Corinthians 15:23-26
